I am currently a PhD student at The University of Nottingham in the UK, I am studying Endotheliotropic Herpesvirus in elephants.
I am just your average student I did my undergraduate degree at The University of Salford, where I graduated with a first class BSc Zoology (Hons) degree. I started wanting to work with the cute and the fluffy, I then experienced my first module in parasitology during my second year. This was when I became interested in other areas and I studied a parasite found in Yorkshire for my dissertation during my final year.
After graduating I applied for the PhD i am currently doing, whilst waiting to start I worked in the medical industry for six months and In the summer of 2012 I traveled to Australia, Singapore and various countries throughout Scandinavia.
My interests:
I love reading especially non-fiction, I am aiming to review the books I read on this blog in the future. I am a very keen to see as much of the world as I can and love to travel, I have already been to some very interesting and exotic places.
I am interested in culture and visit many period houses, I am a member of Chester Zoo and The National Trust. I love baking, I am sure I will update my blog with some photos of my baking if and when it happens, I spend as much time as I would like to in the kitchen.
